Evergreen is nestled in the Rocky Mountains
starting at 7,000 feet elevation and about 30 miles west of Denver. While the area offers a unique mountain lifestyle, the amenities of nearby metropolitian Denver are close by. Evergreen is a place where city and mountain living come together. Evergreen encompassess about 130 miles of pine and aspen hills. 14,260 ft Mt Evans is to the west, the high plains are to the east, Conifer and Aspen Park to the south, and Genesee/Lookout Mountain to the north. In 2006 about 41,500 people called Evergreen home. Evergreen is a tranquil mountain community.


Downtown Evergreen offers a variety of small town shops and casual dining. Most shops are with-in walking distance. Don't forget to take a stroll around the Lakehouse. Summer offers live music, fishing, rentals of paddle boats & canoes. The Lakehouse can be rented for family parties or weddings. You can also take a drive all the way to the top of Mt Evans to see the mountain goats in their natural surroundings. In September there is the annual Chili Cook-off and October brings the Halloween Walk Downtown, where the kids can "scare" the shop keepers & "trick-or-treat" from shop to shop. During winter months there is Ice fishing, Ice skating & Ice hockey on the Lake. Don't miss the Christmas Walk, live music, roasted chestnuts and beautifully decorated seasonal windows. You might just see Santa riding past on his motorcycle.
